# Keyboard shortcuts

Every shortcut in Kairo, and when they're active.

## Anywhere in the app

| Key | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `N` | Open capture. `C` does the same thing. |
| `⌘K / Ctrl K` | Open the search palette, find any task, list, or action. |
| `1` | Go to Today |
| `2` | Go to Calendar |
| `3` | Go to Lists |
| `4` | Go to Log |

> **Note:** Single-key shortcuts are ignored while you're typing in a field, and **all** shortcuts are disabled while the [app lock](https://kairo.jaimansoni.com/support/locks) screen is up.

## In capture and dialogs

| Key | What it does |
| --- | --- |
| `Enter` | Capture the task and close |
| `Shift Enter` | Capture and keep the box open for the next one |
| `Esc` | Close any dialog |
| `↑ ↓` | Move through search results |
