# Set a time of day

Give a planned task a clock time, “31 July at 6 PM”, and optionally get a reminder then.

Source: https://kairo.jaimansoni.com/support/times
Section: Plan your day

## Add a time

1. Open the task and expand **Planned day**.
2. Pick a date on the calendar. A **Time** row appears underneath.
3. Tap a quick pick, 9 AM, Noon, 3 PM, 6 PM, 9 PM, or use the time field for anything else.

You can also type it while capturing: `dentist 31 jul 6pm`, `standup at 9:30`. See the [syntax reference](https://kairo.jaimansoni.com/support/quick-add-syntax).

## Get reminded at that time

Once a time is set, a **🔔 Remind me at this time** button appears right below it. One tap schedules a push notification for that exact moment. It then reads *Reminder set for 6 PM*.

> **Note:** Reminders need [notifications turned on](https://kairo.jaimansoni.com/support/notifications). If they aren't, Kairo asks as part of the same tap.

## Good to know

- A time always belongs to a day. Clear the day and the time clears with it.
- The time shows as a `🕐 6 PM` chip on the task card.
- A time doesn't move the task or block anything, Kairo plans days, not hour-by-hour calendars.
