Start fresh when you fall behind

Unfinished tasks never pile up in red. Each morning, one decision each, then a clean day.

What the sweep does

If tasks were planned for a day that has passed and are still unfinished, Kairo opens the Fresh start panel the next time you visit Today. It lists each leftover and asks for a single decision.

This replaces the overdue list you'd find in other apps. Nothing rots, nothing turns red, nothing accumulates silently.

Your choices

ChoiceWhat happens
TodayMoves to today. Its carry counter goes up by one.
LaterBack to the Inbox with no date, decide another time.
SomedayParked in Someday, guilt-free.
Did itMarked done, and it shows up in your Log.
Let goDeleted. Sometimes that's the honest answer.

There are also all → today and all → later buttons for when the answer is the same for everything. Anything you don't explicitly choose defaults to Later.

Repeating tasks are different

A repeating task offers three options instead: Today, Did it, and Skip. Skipping jumps to the next occurrence, so missing one gym day never deletes your gym habit. A repeating series can't be lost in the sweep.

When something keeps coming back

Each time you move a task to today from the sweep, Kairo counts it. After a couple of rounds you'll see a ↻ ×3 badge, and a gentle line: *“Keeps carrying over, too big? Try breaking it into steps, or let it go. Both are wins.”*

Dismissing and reopening

Not now closes the panel without changing anything. A small button then appears in the Today header, 🌅 3 from before, to reopen it whenever you're ready. It returns on its own the next morning.
